aren't ya supposed to indicate to let other road users know that you'd like to move onto a diff. part of the road ? about 100yds further on was a bend and a slip road off - where I wanted to go. The unmarked car was obviously more interested in making money than allowing other road users to use the road correctly - I missed the slip road and had to travel to the next one and find a diff. route - but excuse me for needing to move into that lane .
I come on here to give a little advice and get slated by sanctimonious pillocks ...
the police statement was a lie - does that not count for anything ????
As already q. by someone else, where was the leeway with the speed guidelines ????
My vehicle was ob. from out of town and so they just expect ya to shut up and pay up, the business'll pay and ya won't want to travel to contest it anyway - easy money ...

How do they know? Do you have a sign in the car that says "I'm not from around here so please be lenient if I drive over the limit?"

Precisely my point, you are indicating TELLING people you are moving over and expecting them to move out of your way.

You are supposed to MIRROR first, the whole point is making sure it is safe for you to move across, making sure there is a space (ensuring there is no car next to you for example!)

If there is no space, then no, you don't start indicating.....because it is not safe. You carry on until there IS space

When there is space, then you indicate your intention to move across.

You sound like a menace, wear the points with pride. Maybe they will help you realize there is a code of conduct when driving we all should be obeying.

One of them eh, I am going faster than you so i have right of way.

What has a speeding fine got to do with correct signals & lane changes?

You couldnt slam your brakes on because you were in a line of traffic, Tried taking your foot off the throttle?

Think some of the facts are missing here, They either captured you on a camera or followed you a set distance to average your speed.

Most people will admit to driving over the limit sometimes, accidently or otherwise, BUT if you are you should realise YOU are in the wrong when someone pulls out in front of you or doesnt give way. Why should they?

Thought of taking some driving lessons?

This might help you to keep it legal, and not worry about solicitors fees:

"West Yorkshire Police try new anti speed device."
