I quite like Ipswich, and have quite a few relatives in that area, so visit often.
Personally I prefer the Christchurch park area, but it's perhaps a bit pricey??

I have looked at a couple of places in Ipswich in the South East (Nacton Road area) and it did look a tad rough around the edges. Seen 1 place on rightmove in the Whitehouse area - 3 beds, conservatory, mahoosive south facing garden - £140k - anyone know this area?

Avoid the Nacton Road area like the plague. Kesgrave and Warren Heath areas are good. Whitehouse is not too bad but you might as well look at Claydon if you are looking at that end of Ipswich.0 -

How about Martlesham way? i.e Grange Farm which I suppose is Kesgrave. You can get some rather large houses for relatively little but it is basically one massive housing estate!Always on the hunt for a bargain.0
