Perhaps you could find a brewery with a function room? Decorate it in Liverpool colours and have types of dogs as table numbers (of you're having seated tables). You might be able to encorporate a tour of the brewery into the day - I bet most weddings you've photographed don't have the bride and groom standing next to a massive mash tun! :)

What about Anfield? You can marry there and also have a reception there...

    Congratulations! :T

My suggestion would be to think of things that mean a lot to you both personally and encorporate them into the wedding. Then it's different from the "norm" without being different to your tastes.

    Agreed.
I think most people want their "big day" to be different & individual, but there are always things that'll be standard wedding.
So adding little personal touches is a good idea.
The carribean wedding thread is a fine example.

I want to add my 2 cents

Weekday, small register office room, 3 guests, £150. Married. ;)

We are having a picnic in the park after though but it's strictly a BYO food event! No gifts.

Quite like this idea, not sure my parents would find it as amusing as we would but is quite apt. :D

    do you like football?

I don't mind it and understand enough about it now to know what the offside rule is but am not an avid fan, Watch games as they are shown in pubs which serve food and alcohol :D He would love this though I suspect!

    How about a tree-house wedding?!

I think most weddings are essentially the same - especially if you see them all the time like you do! It's up to you to make it personal, like Emmy said-draw ideas from what you like and work from there!

just thought i'd add another tree house http://www.solestreethouse.co.uk/tree_house_11.html it in faversham and was my first choice couldn't afford £3000 just to hire the place
