My contract ended in few months but I was told from Orange that I can upgrade my contract in a few days :)

I am looking for a Blackberry 9700 Bold around £20 to £25 monthly from Orange (not third party company)...

What is the best deal I should get when I ring orange service?

Thanks

You'll always get a better deal at the end of your contract, at the moment you can't threaten to leave as you have, I guess, 3 months left. You should ignore upgrades (say no to whatever they offer) and get through to retentions (who have the better offers).
They should be able to get close to what you want, just remember that the cost of the phone has to be covered over the course of the contract (so if the phones 400 quid, your not going get it for a tenner a month over 18 months).

Also, if you upgrade early the extra times added to the new contract, so it you upgrade 3 months early and start a new 18 month plan it'll run 21 months. . .

My wife was offered 200mins, unlimited text, blackberry internet for £20pm and £29.99 for the handset with Orange upgrades. She's still thinking about, looking elsewhere though you could get the BB free on a £25 contract with more minutes. Have a shop around. Its a nice phone though. :)

I think I would still go for upgrade because I can not wait for a new phone! :)

I think she's currently on the Racoon 25 tariff, but they were going to switch her onto something else....possibly Dolphin 25? This was for the BB 9700, wasn't really interested in anything less. For £29.99 one off cost, you can't knock it unless you get it for free on the same tariff :)

We're still going to try and haggle one off them for free! You gotta try don't you. :p It is for another 24mths!

When I said look elsewhere, I meant for deal comparison. If another network has a better package, I'm sure they would do something to match it. But obviously look to move elsewhere if necessary once the contract is up to get the best deal.

Also if you are already on a low tariff, have a look at the upgrade price for just the handset. On my wifes existing contract, the handset is £149 one off cost, maybe worth consider?

Nice. Your deal is better for £20 more for the handset with more minutes. May try for that one too. hehehe.

Did you speak with upgrades or retentions?

I went for upgrade.. Yeah go for it, don't be afraid, keep telling them you want more what their offer. Its all about negotiation skill :D

I just logged into Orange account website it say:

"Your new service plan Dolphin 25 (24 mth) for 07xxxxxxxx will become effective from 16/05/2010, you'll keep the benefits of your existing service plan until then."

I can not wait that long lol, my new phone will arrive on Monday hopefully. it there anyway to get around that or something ??

I get bill every every month of 16th.. hmmmm
