    Evening diary land! :D

Quick update from me (not my usual ramblings )

Payday tomorrow, and am now up to 90% of salary so an extra £200 a month, so that will really help towards the deficit :)

£40 from payout from One poll due any day now....thats going straight to de debt :) Up to £3.20 already so hard work is paying off.

£3 from one survey and £5 from another survey site, just waiting for these to track through paypal :)

£20 from paypal transferred from weekends ebay sales :)

£30 cash from sideboard will be used as spending money this weekend, saving dipping into the bank! ;)

Spent last night indexing and taking photos of remaining ebay stash, now the fun job of listing it all.....

Budget for November to be worked out shortly......

Oh and my pony seems to have his appetite back, have never been so happy to see him lick his food bowl clean Vet says doesnt need to see him for another 6 months, so things look on the up there! :j

Just hoping things stay good for a while, after the last few months could really do with some luck :)

    Evening all,

Know this isnt debt related just need to get it written down somewhere!

Have an ok life, got fab family, lovely OH, work is ok, pony is getting better (recovering from hepatitis:D).

Its just the friends situation which really gets to me :(

Have lots of "friends" but no one that can really call a best friend or who I can ring up/go to with anything, its usually my OH and when got problems their am a bit stuck!

Have always been better relating to men rather than woman and seem to have more male friends, but a lot of these live quite far away and don't see them as much as I used to and would like to. We have all got on with our lives, some have kids, busy jobs etc and its really hard trying to organise to meet up sometimes.

The 2 girls that I thought were very good friends just don't seem to be there anymore. One is getting married next year and it seems has completely excluded me from everything, got an invite and thats it, I thought we were best friends and this has really hurt

The other one spoke to earlier on today and in the whole conversation it was all one sided and basically moaned about how we hadn't spoken for ages as I hadn't rung. And once didn't ask how the pony was getting on or how other things are (like family, my dad is waiting for triple heart bypass surgery and has got complications).

To me it seems that friendships should work both ways yet it always seem that I am the one doing all the running and not getting anything back in return. It doesn't bother me too much with the guys as sort of expect it

I seem to have had a lot going on recently (especially dad and pony) and just feel very down and depressed with it all :(

Just feel like I maybe need to make some more friends somehow (female) just don't know where to start and feel quite left out most of the time with things going on.:(

    Hello BB

Sorry to hear you're feeling down. We all need friends and to feel that our friends really value us and care about how we are and what we are doing. You are right, true friendship is two-way and there are those who are happy to use a listening ear when they need one but once their need is met they retreat back into their own world.

I don't know a quick and easy answer. I had spent many years working day stupid hours with very little time over for home, family or friends. When I was 50 (some 14 years ago now - mmmmm... I really am ancient!) I was able to take early retirement and found that suddenly I had a huge gap in my life. I had had friends at work, but many were still working and were still as busy as I had been, so, for all our good intentions, we lost touch. One very good friend I had made was talking of moving away, and another is in her mid eighties and I know she won't always be around. I knew I had to do something and so I joined the WI. Now that's not everyone's cup of tea, but I do now know a lot of really nice, caring people. No, there isn't anyone who I would see as a really close close friend but the friendships are enough. My existing friend never did move away - and I don't think she ever will. My friend in her eighties is still here although she is not as well as she once was.

I know joining a club is often suggested for people wanting to make friends but for me it has worked. It took a little time, though. It's not that I walked in the door the first time and everyone wanted to be my friend but I made a point of chatting to as many different people as possible, kept upbeat, oh, and I have an irrepressible sense of humour which may have helped.....or not, depending on the person!!!!

So I guess what I'm saying is brain storm with yourself where you might meet your kind of people, take a deep breath, take the plunge and give it time. Also perhaps think about your neighbours and folks you meet out and about. A cheery greeting can make you and them feel better.

You've had a tough time and are working to overcome your problems so you're obviously a strong person. Good Luck!

    Sue

Thanks so much Sue for stopping by with such kind words, it means so much to me! :)

I do need to get out there and be pro-active, just got to find something to do now that doesn't cost me too much either ;)

Had a lovely afternoon with Sis, her OH, my OH and two friends who we don't see very often so that was lovely and made me realise what I need to do!

Evening all! Haven't posted for aaaaaages, but been reading diaries for inspiration! :D

Have been fairly good but totals don't seem to be doing down as planned. Bad news is that I still owe over £15k  but the fairly good news is that I now owe under £5k on the credit cards. Total now owed £4,920.98 :)

The plan is still to get these all paid off before Xmas  Plan needs re-thinking somewhat. Have stretched out budget this month, OH's money has paid off all but £98 on CC4. Have paid off £250 on CC3 this month and £75 has been sent to CC1 on top of minimum payments. £75 made up of survey sites and ebay sales.

So just under £5k still to find....

Have lots on ebay to sell before Xmas. Will make £19 on tomorrows sales, need to put a few more bits on.

Should hopefully have another £200 left over from my salary this month.

Should be getting £40 ish on mileage expenses so that will help as hardly using any fuel for this. Get 30p/mile private mileage but can do 450 miles on £45 worth of fuel! ;)

OH should be able to pay off £750 next month and £750 in December plus possibly a bonus so that is £1500 min I can use.

Should be able to get at least £500 from overpayments on my salary for the next 2 months plus £250 min payments.

    Total:-
    £1500 from OH
    £1000 overpayments from me
    £500 min payments from me
    £40 expenses
    £150 ebay (fingers crossed)
    £3,190

    so just £1,730 to find....
Hopefully OH Xmas bonus, hopefully I will get an xmas bonus too, any extra ebay sales and survey sites.....

Will have to go away and have a think as will be very disappointed if I don't make my target of CC free by New Year! :o

    Hello Diary Land :)

Haven't been on here for aggggeees!

Have had a lot going on with dad in hospital over Xmas and New Year for a heart bypass operation who then contracted pneumonia! Home early January after a 3 week stay and very poorly and just trying to get back into the swing of things!

Have just updated my signature and am proud to say just under £4k for all credit card debts :D

    CC1 account is now closed
CC2 is 0% to June 2011 and balance of £3361 (this should all be cleared by March)
CC3 is 0 (keeping this open as emergency cc)
CC4 is £450 and OH's card but will be paid off in full next week
    Car finance is £9306

By March will be CC Debt Free! :j

Then the joy of saving as much as possible to pay off the car finance early.....but this may not happen as parents putting house on the market end Feb and may result in us renting for few months until parents sell, buy another house and our deposit for a house for us is released so we can get mortgage. Will be complicated but am aiming to save as much as possible and still spend as little as possible in all of this, would be fab to pay of car finance and save some money too (I can dream :p)

Have been good and managed to save money for the car servicing, mot and tax for this year already, am hoping it wont come to more than I have saved, but last few years chucked it all straight on the cards so am really happy that I have managed to put aside a chunk direct for this :)

Still ebaying, daily clicking and surveying away, managed to get £289 in survey earnings last year and over £35.82 in daily clicks/cashback so am aiming for more this year.

Other exciting news is my pony seems to have fully recovered from his hepatitis :j so need to get him fit again.

Need to get myself fit too as ideally need to lose 5 stone () but am giving it my best shot as need to be a lot lighter to ride my pony now and want to get back riding him properly so thats a huge motivation for me to actually get off my butt and exercise and not stuff face with carp! Last few days have been really good and not found it too hard so will be trying to keep this up and pushing myself a bit more. I will do it! :)

Work is getting there slowly since coming back communication seems to be fab and colleagues are ok, still having a few 'off' days but getting there and I think they are slowly realising I am not superwoman! Just cos I am admin/marketing/buying/general dogsbody does not mean I can do their job too and know everything including IT (the bane of my life)

    Here's to a successful (getting there now) 2011 :D
