Post Office Rules

Hi All,
Mazza111 was absolutely correct - the stamp had fallen off. When the clerk brought the item he pointed out that someone had posted it with no stamp, so I showed him my copy of the COP, saying that it seems it had come off in the post, and requested the charge be waived.
He indicated he would check on this and went off to see the manager. He came back and said manager would not agree.
I asked to see the manager and clerk went off and returned alone saying manager wouldn't come to see me. I asked if they had a complaints form - and he said no and gave me customer services phone number. My complaint by email is ongoing now.0 -
Further to yesterday's Post Office say they have sent me a book of 1st class stamps as compensation / recompense for my trouble. Also they said as Owain did, that there is no contract between the customer and the Post Office.
I consider this thread closed now, but will check it in a day or so and if any responses I will reply.
Thank you all for your comments and help.0
