Depends what your buyer wants.Been away for a while.0

Set the price low.;)
That influences people a lot more than a few litres of magnolia paint.:)0 -
Tidy, tidy, tidy.
If your house looks cluttered it will look small.
If there is stuff all over the place it will look like there is a lack of storage.
Fill up your car with your junk when you have a viewing, if necessary!0 -
Clean, clean, clean.
Nobody wants to buy your dust & dirt.
Declutter, declutter, declutter.
If you can stand the flak, ask friends or family to call round and pretend they're buyers. Ask them what they would change. Only do this if you can REALLY remain friendly with them after they're truthful with you.
Take down your personal and family photos. Let your viewers imagine where theirs are going to go, rather than letting them admire your family tree.0 -
If you have a dog and a dopey looking hubbie or teenager at hand get them to clear out the house with the dog for a long walk.
Note I didnt buy the houses where they had a randy rottweiler who took a fancy to my leg, or the house with a fat shirtless man laid on the sofa watching the footie or the same house with a stinking teenager still in bed at 3pm.0 -

Better still, all clear out and leave your agent to do the viewing.....0 -

Giving that you are moving in the near future, a clear out is a good idea anyway...0 -
Get the neighbours either side of you to put the pitbulls in kennels and steal some posh cars to park on their driveways for the afternoon. Makes the area look up-and-coming.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
