    Yep. Also for Spyware, http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

    Don't get any anti-spyware that you have to pay for.

    ESPECIALLY don't get anything from something that claims to have detected spyware from a webpage. These are just a con, and you will install what you want to remove...

    Malwarebytes and Kapersky were recommended to us after I "caught" a virus - a terrible windows fake antivirus programme that basically stole and shut down our PC :eek:

    Apparently Kapersky is given away free by Barclays to their online banking customers

    Yep - there's a lot of con artists out there.

    Also registry cleaners/fixers/tiders/moisturisers/scrubbers/slappers/spankers/flossers should be avoided. Even the ones that have the best of intentions often cause more problems than they solve...
