I loved turning 30 - felt like I had finally got a bit of control in my life! - lost control in my late 30's but loved turning 40 last year! I'm not sure I will ever be happy with things - career is good - but feel like i am not doing well as a mum - can't seem to get the balance right - and today had really brought that home - I am sad and have no idea what to do about it!!!

Sorry for moaning - when others have much worse things happening - that makes me sad too!

Think i'll go and be sad somewhere else - sorry:(

The way things are going, people won't leave school until at least 30, and won't retire until 104...

  • It's not been a great day for me either. I found out this afternoon that a friend of my grandparents that we used to give a lift to church has died. I didn't know her very well but she always seemed very young for her age, one of the last people I would've expected to die. And I've been arguing with my dad earlier. He's still angry with me for not telling him that I was falling behind with my work. Apparently, I'm just like my mother and lie through my teeth. For God's sake, they've been split for 8 years. I can't believe he's still going on about that.

On the plus side, I've got a job interview on Fri! :j It's for a cleaning job at South Mimms services, which should make it easier for me to get a flat. Whenever I've applied, people hear that I'm not working and just switch off so I reckon if I have a job lined up, getting somewhere should be easier. My dad thinks I should go back to Scarborough after uni and go on the dole until my essays are finished though. You can stop laughing now, Ames. :D

Also, my uber expensive HC hot chocolate arrived today and it's worth every penny. I've just had a cup of it and I'm heading off to bed soon.

That's because if you sin, but it's not bad enough for hell, then you go to Scarborough. If people pray hard enough for you, your sins are forgiven, and you don't go to Scarborough.

    Honestly.
