True enough, but if this loophole works, you can get £100 and still refer other people for £50 a pop. However, I doubt A&L will allow two people to refer each other as described in the OP for long, so for an extra £5 I wouldn't risk it.

I'm sure people have been refused payment in the past for doing it. Not worth it for a fiver, as you say.

Defraud A&L then tell the world on an open forum. Smart move.
How is this any different to, for example, Martin telling people about the loophole with the Cahoot credit card T&C's (which used to offer 5% cashback on balance transfers), where you could transfer the money to Cahoot, back to your original card, then finally back to cahoot again to get double the cashback?

It's not fraud, it's an exploit of poorly written T&C's. It is up to A&L to close the loophole.

And I'm sure they will now they've been alerted to it by this web site!
Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc

Probably, although it took them months to close down the other loophole associated with this offer, whereby you could be referred by a friend AND Quidco. Still, as I've already said, I'd prefer a definite £95 to a risky £100 any day.
