Hi,

I bought a 3 PAYG phone and when people try to ring me from a Virgin Mobile it says "calls to this number are barred" does anyone else have this happen to them and can Virgin un-bar them?

Thanks.

Ring Virgin and ask why you are getting that message. Virgin should not block another network's numbers. What are the first 5 digits of the Three number?

The first few digits are 07401, I'll have to get the people on version to ring Virgin to find out what's happening.

Been in touch with Virgin and here's what they said:

We've recently been made aware that sometimes, when people on our network are trying to call anyone with the prefix 0740, they're getting an error message. This is a known issue and we're working as hard as we can to get it resolved.
If your number doesn't start 0740 then we ask that you get your friends who're experiencing this problem to give us a call on one of the numbers at the end of this email so we can run through it with them.

Silly thing to try. Take out the first 0 and replace with +44

I can't see it working, but you never know. . .
