My supplies of stardrops has come to an end. I did get it from Wilkinson because none of our local supermarkets have it. Thats 2 asdas, 2 sainsburys, 1 tesco, 3 somerfields and a coop. Not even woolworths or the pound shops have it around here.

Now Wilkinsons haven't had it for a few months :(

I put stardrops and Zoflora into a spray thingy. Lovely smell that seems to linger....well, it did, when I could get it.

I've just started using Star drops again its excellent, I've cleaned the whole house with it and hardly used any of it. Never heard of Zoflora though what is it, how much is it and where do I get it? Thanks

The little bottles are in bright yellow boxes about the size of a pack of cigarettes, and can be found in the household cleaners aisles of Tesco, Morrisons etc.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

:eek: Have just ran to the bathroom to dispose of two bottles of Zoflora!!!

But before they hit the bottom of the bin, I paused to read the box. Phew, glad I did! It says:

"When correctly diluted Zoflora is ideal for use where pets are kept. It will kill germs and eliminate unpleasant odours."

I think that in its undiluted state it is highly toxic and flammable. It's worth keeping it in the box and putting up high out of reach of little hands and furry paws. It says on the box to "keep carton for full instructions". My kitties aren't smelly anyway (as if!) but I'd have given this stuff up for them if it was dangerous to them. Thankfully it's OK if used and stored correctly, which I do - hurrah!
Sorry didn't mean to mislead, but I was informed that any disinfectant that turns water cloudy contains phenol which is very toxic to cats. I always used Zoflora, and I know it used to cloud water so I stopped buying it when I heard this!
Checking on the Zoflora website, the listed ingredients definately DON'T include phenol. So it goes back on my shopping list!

Star tips is a floral disinfectant, and pink in colour. I think it smells quite like baby powder. Looks v kitsch! I have found this in corner shops rather than supermarkets

I love stardrops but TBH I do miss the citrus scent of my old ( V expensive!) cleaner. Can you put some stardrops and zoflora together in the same spray bottle and dilute it so you can clean and disinfect and add a nice smell at the same time? I saw from RachieB's post that it's fine to mix stardrops and essential oils but wondered if anyone knows if it's safe to mix the stardrops with zoflora, as that's a lot cheaper thn the essential oils I've seen?
