Stardrops & Zoflora

After reading some of the threads on OS i've gone out and bought some stardrops and zoflora.

I've never been big on cleaning, and was wondering if people clean with stardrops then disinfect with zoflora, or if just using zoflora on its own is enough to clean and disinfect?

Thanks

Zoflora is a disinfectant. For cleaning you need a proper fluid that removes stains and grease.

I use Zoflora a lot, but first do the cleaning and then pass a sponge damp with a solution water and Zoflora. You only need a couple of drops of it. I like the lavender scent. Once I found a large bottle of lemon scented Zoflora and that did the kitchen. Can't find it anymore so I stick to lavender.

A few drops down the sink drain now and then keep it fresh.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Just a reminder that Zoflora can't be used around cats as it is highly toxic to them.

I also love Zoflora. Using a few drops in the kitchen and bathroom makes the whole place smell fresh. The one scent I'm not keen on is Flowershop.

Ive never used zoflora, but i use stardrops all the time. I use diluted stardrops (1 part stardrops, 6 parts water) to clean my bathroom and kitchen, and for any stubborn grease/marks, i use the stardrops neat, its brilliant, one bottle lasts for ages!!!!

:eek: Have just ran to the bathroom to dispose of two bottles of Zoflora!!!

But before they hit the bottom of the bin, I paused to read the box. Phew, glad I did! It says:

"When correctly diluted Zoflora is ideal for use where pets are kept. It will kill germs and eliminate unpleasant odours."

I think that in its undiluted state it is highly toxic and flammable. It's worth keeping it in the box and putting up high out of reach of little hands and furry paws. It says on the box to "keep carton for full instructions". My kitties aren't smelly anyway (as if!) but I'd have given this stuff up for them if it was dangerous to them. Thankfully it's OK if used and stored correctly, which I do - hurrah!

I've just started using Star drops again its excellent, I've cleaned the whole house with it and hardly used any of it. Never heard of Zoflora though what is it, how much is it and where do I get it? Thanks

Zoflora is fantastic for cleaning up sick (sorry I know its breakfast time!) always use it when the children are poorly and covers the smell up brilliant when cleaning it up. I use Hycinth for this and a different one for cleaning the house. Wouldn't do without it.

What other cheap cleaning stuff do you use?

i love zoflora lavender one ,but ive discovered tesco own lavender disinfectant ,works just as well and cheaper / bigger bottle too :)

i tend to use the disinfectant down the sinks / bath and for soaking sponges / cloths etc

then stardrops for general cleaning ie like a multi surface cleaner

either in sink with hot water for wiping round surfaces / floors or in a spray bottle and water with a few drops of essential oil as a surface spray ,or neat in with the washing / on stains before washing etc

stardrops lasts weeks even using it for all those uses

Hi, Zoflora is, I think, a concentrated disinfactant. which comes in a small bottle, about has big as a mug, then in a box. Can be bought from most supermarkets and wilkinsons, costs about 50p
