Tues 20th April - What small DFW things have you done today?!
Comments
-
I-need to make - might be worth phonign the mobile folks - I did with mine and they helped me reduce my package down to the absolute basic before I could cancel
On the other phone they let me move to a monthy pre payasyougo - before the contract finished.
Growing stuff is pretty easy (honest) just think of the things you buy the most and give me a shout - a couple of pots can give you alot of stuff even if its just a few salad leaves or herbs etc.
Meal planning (as much as I hate it) has helped us hugely cut down our food bills..........................reading the 'feed a family for £20' is amazing and is worth it for the tips on making things really stretch.
Goodluck!
Stick with this thread - its amazing!!xxxxxxxxx Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Morning ladies!
Nice sunny day again today but don't know how long for? I was hoping for a head gasket job today but got an easier money one, a petrol in diesel! No one else could be bothered to go and look for the keys to a car parked on the road (left by the AA) so I made the effort and reaped the benefits! I also get to sell 1/2 a purge from that, so £1.25 for the pot!
Anyway, my list for today:-
- Mainly try and sparkle, not feeling like it at the moment
- My 1/2 purge is my only opportunity
- Do 1x training and exam on something we're never going to sell anyway, but a certain car manufacturer will charge us £50 if we don't do it.
- Lunch from stores
- Dinner from stores/meal plan - tuna pasta bake
- Shower instead of bath tonight
- Update spreadsheets with any further spends
- Check online banking
Have a lovely day all, head is feeling a bit fluffy this morning for some reason!
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
Edit grid help anyone.....when using multiple sheets, how do you get the formula sorted so that it pulls a cell from each sheet through? I did have it but have written over it by mistake and now cant get it back., doesnt seem to work the same as excel I need to do my annual totals but wont let me pull the cells through? Am confused.
Aside from that,- update sheets on edit grid
- update sig for another NSD yesterday :j
- check banking
- purchase petrol for guzzle monster
- check with HR that they received the change to bank details for payday
- coke zone points (didnt do yesterday)
- meals from stores. Pepper and humous for lunch and some chicken thing tonight with an apple pastry tart thing for pudding. Need to google for inspiration. Got a puff pastry, 3 cooking apples and a small pot of double cream all going out of date today so would like to make something that could poss also be frozen.
- work hard today to catch up a bit more
- do some piggy and quidco clicks
- check out any freebies

Morning girls! Gosh ur all early birds! Since being ill I have had a renewed enthusiasm for sleeping, shocker!!!
Milly so sorry that your Crohn's has been bad last night, have a {{{hug}}}. But nice re the wooziness from the painkillers
:D
Fay thanks for the gardening advice. I've been sowing seeds for flowers into pots before transfering to soil, but maye I don't need to and can sow directly? If that's the case it will save me a lot of faffing around
Triangle excellent news re the holiday!!! That's the kind of In-Laws we all like :j:j:j. By the way where in kent? I live in south east kent... If ur coming anywhere near Canterbury/Whitstable/Hernebay I'd be happy to lend you our resident's cards so you can get discounts on restuarants, free admissions to the museums?
I-need-to-make-money ur very welcome! I can't remember who said it but :jbecause its pretax it's not as much as £120 in real terms out of ur salary and becuase of the employer contributions its a lot more, my employers doubles my contribution. As I said it does gall (seeing my deductions everymonth makes me wince!) but each year I get a statement that says how much I would get a year from that point and after 2 1/2yrs its starting to add up
Ok today, am feeling more motivated and a lot better although throat and head still sore

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:
Good morning everyone - hope all ok today[IMG][/img]
I am soooo glad I'm off work today, I had a rotten sleep - was very sore, the nasty Crohn's realy made a comeback last night, don't know why, was Ok during the day:(

Some good advice there although I'd argue that charging your phone up at work is classed as stealing! Same as sending all your post via the company's franking machine!

Hi peeps.
Apart from the "usual" things, yesterday I got my broadband and phone rental reduced - saving nearly £100 on my yearly cost for those. Today, signed up for another click site. Should bring in around £75 a year minimum on its current clicks. 2 small "things" really, but big savings for the year
Best wishes for today, everyone.retirement savings target: £100,000 by 2032 start: £21200 Jun 22, Jun 23:0 -

Sorry Sarah - I'm constantly using my mobile for work and I charge my phone at work as well.
I also use my work computer for internet etc lunch/breaks as well as alot of folks do to save on using my own at home.
I don't consider it to be stealing nor the same as using work for post which I don't do.
But its a free world and you're entitled to your opinion.

Hi Sarah and welcome!!! However I agree with fay - I'm the manager and have a very strict moral code on stealing (it can get quite cold and lonely up here in my ivory tower
) and I don't consider charging phone at work as stealing, I would however consider using company posting, not putting correct times on timesheet, using the internet for persoanl usage unless its put down on timesheet as a break, taking pens/paper etc... DF as at 30/12/16
