    Wow!

I've just caught up with this thread. I'm amazed at how quickly the numbers are moving.

    Well done all of you.

And if anyone has a spare £10 when its all over...............
The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese
  • Payday!

And a whooping £425 paid off!

That'll be beans on toast for the rest of the month then!

Well done. That's a huge amount. Do you need to update your signature or do you still have £1000 to go?

I wouldn't want to be sitting next to you at work next month if beans are going to be your staple food source!:D

I'm making the min payment on Monday when I get paid, and then clearing the whole balance from both C/C when my OH bonus comes through next month. I will be battling the Loans then (scary!!!)

  • No - I've updated the sig. My temp job went permanent and I decide to put a bit extra, including the tax refund I got, into the debts. I'm used to living frugally these days anyway and I'm amazed at how far I can make money stretch these days. Big up the DFW and OS boards, I say! A positive education!

And I may well go mad and introduce Asda cheap pasta into the diet too!

    Hello everyone

I hope you are all doing well. Sorry I haven't posted much, I've been busy Ebaying everything I own :D

I'm going to update my signature later on but I'm up to about £600 and that doesn't include AQA.

When I hit £1,000 though it will change to paying off my boyfriend as he is lending me the rest of the money to pay my mum back as I need it by the beginning of next month.

  • I would have had £97 to pay off the C/C after selling a games console on ebay - however it has more than likely been won by a scammer (see my "is paypal safe" thread. I've offered it on second chance offer - but people hardly ever take those up. I'm more than a little peed of at the mo.

    Em - what is AQA?

Slowly slowly! I got paid for both of my jobs yeaterday and today, but as I'm off on holiday next week, I can't really throw them at debt until I get back - just in case IYSWIM? Although I've budgeted carefully for the holiday, I don't want to find I've missed something and end up going into the overdraft again:eek: so I figure it's better to wait and then pay off a big lump when I get back - hopefully, I'll be able to clear off the current challenge, and start a new one :rotfl:. On the good news front, I got a £10 cheque from that screenselect free trial yesterday, so I shall cash that, AND my M&S cc arrived, with 3.9% life of balance transfer AND a £5000 limit, so I'm going to do some transfers to reduce my interest, AND, barclays have written to me offering to settle my bank charges claim of £345 for £170 - which means that they're cracking! I'm going to write back asking for the full amount or I'll take legal action. All in all, a good day I think - the money's there, I just haven't paid it off the debt yet!!!xxx

  • I sorted £200 payment off mine today (leaving me pretty skint for October but hey ho) which goes some way to making up for the "falling off wagon" incident this month.

I know I haven't been posting much on this at all, but I am still in!
