Is there anyway you can get cheap texts and stay on PAYG?

This is hoping against hope, but still...

Is there anyway you can get texts cheaper than 12p a text on orange?

I am also looking for a way of making mobile to landline calls cheaper.

if you are remaining on Orange then the bog standard Orange text top up sims, put £10 on per month get 300 texts and 1mb of data, £20 top upfor 600txts+1mb etc.

i'm with o2 and i get 300 free texts a month for £10 top up. you also get 10% of you top up back.

I have a vodafone payt sim, top up £15 each month and get 500 free texts. Balance is used for calls!!

Topping up 10 quid a month seems more like contract by proxy reward.

You could try T-mobiles Text appeal tariff. All texts 3p a text any network.

Only 3p each if you use all 400 within 30 days. With T-mobile they are 3p a text whether you send 1 or a 1000.:T

Hi, could you please tell us how you get free texts with O2?
I know last month I topped up my PAYG O2 but I've never had free texts.
