SOLD house price - can't find one?

We're interested in a house and have got a copy of the HIP which shows it was sold in 1996 and 2007. However the only sold price I can find on a multitude of sold price websites is the 1995 price. As the house has been extended significantly since then this isn't very helpful. There is no sign of the 2007 sale. The HIP shows us the price they paid so this is what we need ultimately to get an idea of what the current value should be. However, I'm intrigued as to why I can't find any record of the more recent sale price. Anyone got any ideas?

Probably a repo as they don't show on Land Registry - I have been trying to find the sold prices of several I was outbid on and none are listed.

Not convinced it was a repo. Can I look on land registry for free?

  • I dont know the answer for this- only that whenever i've looked up how much we bought our flat for it doesnt seem to show up (we bought our flat in 2006) Ive know idea why it doesnt show up- it was a normal sale- not a repo or anything.

Obviously I have too much time on my hands- looking up how much we bought my own house for when i know exactly how much we bought it for! lol
please excuse my username- my husband set it to the email account when he was young free and stooooopid
