Holiday Autos Complaint

Options
Hi,

Having just rented a car from holiday autos who you recommend in your car rental section i would like to compain that it seem like standard practice that once you return the car they help themselves to extra unauthorised money out of your account a few days later.

I rented a car on the 26th - 30th March. on 2nd april i have a look at my statement to find that they had charged me an extra £100.76. After calling holiday autos they are not sure what this is for. If you google Ec Vehicle rental the first result returned is a complaints boards full of complaints about this practice.

As a loyal moneysavingexpert user i feel a bit cheated that you have recommended a company that have a standard practice of cheating its customers. Ec vehicle rental is easycar/alamo where the car was picked up from.

I'm sure they know what the money is for. Probably for damage on return and/or refilling on return. Have you a signed form confirming no damage and full tank on return from the hire company?

Anyway, in the event they really don't know what it is for, just claim it back :)

What type of debit card is it? A Visa debit card? If so, you could probably contact the bank and get a chargeback.
