My advice is that if you do not like the new bank owner after the transfer and if you want branch facilities you could open a Natwest account (Branches in England and Wales only, they are a part of the RBS Group) and have similar accounts and systems to RBS. There is nothing stopping you from keeping an account with RBS and having a Natwest account.
Alternatively, a good bank both north and south of the border is Halifax/Bank of Scotland.
As i said you can have as many current accounts as you like.0 -
