No need to be so sensitive guys...
  • jesus- a laughable over-reaction to a harmless comment. whoever used the term "mortified" should get out the house a little more.
  • My advice is that if you do not like the new bank owner after the transfer and if you want branch facilities you could open a Natwest account (Branches in England and Wales only, they are a part of the RBS Group) and have similar accounts and systems to RBS. There is nothing stopping you from keeping an account with RBS and having a Natwest account.

Alternatively, a good bank both north and south of the border is Halifax/Bank of Scotland.

As i said you can have as many current accounts as you like.

England is a dos hole though lol. Gobby pratt teenagers, punks who cant take their drink every friday night, useless trains, expensive, list goes on.

Still, scots are more gobby though. Louder too.

As RBS also owns NatWest your parents should still be able to conduct their banking ok.

That would be nice but i doubt it. As an Ulster Bank and RBS customer in England i can only say that this was not an acceptable arrangement!

I ended up opening a new account with Halifax.
