Hi folks
A little bit of advice please. Thanks
My 0% b/t ends next month. I did get a GE Money cc at 0% b/t but they would only offer me £2500 credit limit but I have a balance of £8,600. I have a cc with Halifax with a credit card limit of £15000 so could transfer to there but they are only offering me 9.93% for life of the balance.
Should I just apply for a few more 0% b/t cards and forget about the Halifax one?
Thanks

Some people say that existing and unused credit card limits affect the limits that other lenders can give. 9.93% is pants but if it is better than the rest then take it if it is fee free.

I phoned up the 0% c/c I'm with and they have offered me 6.9% to stay with them. My head is spinning at the moment with all these figuresDFW Nerd no: 1490

1) How many new credit cards have you applied for in the last 12 Months?
2) Which 0% credit card are you currently with?People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
I've applied for two in the last 12 months. The one I'm with at the mo which is Virgin (applied 6mths ago) and the new GE Money c/c (applied 2 weeks ago) who have offered me 0% b/t for 12 months but only given me a credit limit of £2500.DFW Nerd no: 1490

IMO, it's well worth taking out a new credit card. There are still some good introductory promotions available.
Last month, I applied for the Post Office card (0% on balance transfers for six months, no balance transfer fee).
I made a telephone application (the PO website doesn't work with my browser) and was told my credit limit over the phone.
Once you know your credit limit on the PO card, you can decide whether to take up the GE Money offer as well.
Btw, the PO credit card is issued by the Bank of Ireland, so your other three cards should not affect the credit limit unduly, but the only way to find out for certain is to apply!People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
