Thanks as always WG.
Just feeling a bit bad today. Mr Spud is doing his headless chicken impression.
The letter came from Sechiari Clark and Mitchell on behalf of Black Horse, demanding £150.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Thanks Chelly
You're right. Without the advice and support from the folk on here, I think all this would drive me mad
I will forward the letter to CCCS as advised, and write to the solicitor advising them to deal with CCCS.
Thank goodness for no post on Sundays :beer:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hi Spud
Once you have dropped the said letters into the post box, let your worry go with them and chill and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Listen to WG's advice, the letters are sent with the intention of scaring you, I am like you and when OH has had a letter like you had, I have gone into total basil fawlty mode of panic!! That is exactly what they want the letters to do, panic ppl...........well lets try and not panic, we can all support each other to get through this, when in doubt or panic...post here.
Hugs Michelle:beer:Chelly:A

You're right Michelle,
I am the calm one of the house. I know that panicking doesnt change owt. OH is a different matter completely.
Trouble is, I have been trying to keep the letters away from him, because I know what he is like. He has asked me to tell him everything that happens, because he wants to be involved. That is great, but then I have to deal with the creditor asking for money AND the OH flapping.
Would be best all round if he was kept in blissful ignorance ehh
Off to a friend's daughters 21st tonight. Might have to have a few and show myself up on the dance floor. Always does me good :beer:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread as I'm a not so newbie DMPer!
Haven't had much time to post alot lately but I just popped on as I wanted to say that I had an awful time with my creditors when I was at the beginnings of my dmp, especially with one of them who was ringing countless times a day at home & dh's work too. I am 6 months into my dmp now & was totally gobsmacked very recently when we had a letter from the same creditor saying thank you for your considerable effort to maintain payments to your account. We appreciate customers who do their best to honour their commitments  They then went on to offer to rewrite the loan we have with no ppi & 0% interest :j This creditor had me constantly living in fear of the phone & post a few months ago.
I just wanted to tell you all this to give you all a bit of hope because although things seem grim now everything will seem so much more hopeful in a few months time
Love & good luck to you all

Thanks again Ozzy. :beer:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hiya Spud & Michelle!
Black horse are one of my creditors too & I think we had only one solicitors letter from them, can't guarantee you'll only get the one but Black Horse were really civil everytime they rang & we just had to give our cccs number. They didn't accept the first offer they had but when we upped our cccs payment slightly they accepted.
Hope everything settles down for you soon with the letters & phone calls. Honestly the only letters I get now are statements from my creditors showing the cccs payment. Would love to get a letter from Abbey saying they were rewriting my loan mind you but thats another story!
You're both doing so well, hang on in there & stay positive!
Hope you have a good weekend too

Thank goodness for all you wise people!!
I have been taking advice in another thread regarding being hassled at work and wanted to share this link from Emmzi - it's Brilliant!
http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=03_harassment
I have been out most of today and one creditor has phoned 11 times!
Thanks to the info here and Emmzi's link I feel a bit more prepared now...
