New Kitchen

Our quote from B&Q was just over £2k
We was hoping to get the price down a little by sourcing our own worktops, sink and taps....
Thing is we dont want to buy a kitchen from them if there not very good?
Has anybody else had a B&Q kitchen?0 -
Most flat pack kitchens are made in one huge factory in Germany, who then supply Magnet, Wickes, Howdens, Homebase and B & Q.
Completely wrong!
Homebase kitchens are made in Darlington by Interior Solutions (part of Magnet)
Wickes kitchens are made in Leeds by Gower (part of nobia UK)
Magnet kitchens are made in Darlington as well, but are never flat packed, they are all rigid built from day one...
Howdens kitchens are also made in the UK
If you want to offer advice, please make sure it is factual and correct...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

How many units are you putting in? If you see what I paid for the Homebase kitchen (which I think is better than B & Q), then I think that I managed to get the worktops included for £2K and added another £1K for the appliances.
Try Sinkworld for sink and tap combinations, I bought a Carron (granite effect 1.5 bowl, with high swan neck lever mixer tap) set from them for around £270.0 -
i will be looking for a new kitchen myself , probably in a years time/Question is who from.I would like a painted wood finish preferably in sage or duck egg blue although if i can persuade my wife because of costs, then cream or ivory would do.I looked at Wickes (Benchmarx) and they looked good quality but unfortunately the only one in that style(cream) is distressed which we dont want.B&Q look poor quality so that leaves me with Homebase ( who seem to be the cheapest) Magnet, Howdens or Wrens but i've yet to fully see their range.I def dont want bespoke so tend to avoid the independent stores as I kind of think they'll be very expensive. All in I dont wish to go above 10 k,Any advice please?Argentine by birth,English by nature0
