Morning campers, from a very early Natty.
I love these glorious mornings, I can get a whole days worth of stuff done in about 3 hours from 6am
We decided not to have the meat pie last night and went for Fish and Chips. Plus we also walked the dogs at the same time which was nice. I do like it when DH and I go out in the light evenings with the dogs, it's a rare occurence especially as DDog Jet has to behave himself when he's with me..lol
Well I have potted up (temporary potted) all my veg/herbs/plants that I received from my veg box company.. I didn't realise I had so many, I think I might even have to put some veg etc in the front garden..heck I have two rhubarb plants in the front garden I am sure a couple of herbs won't make much difference...lol
This morning I have made a meat pie - I had cooked the meat yesterday and it was in the fridge keeping cool - washed all the bits up. By the looks of the pie we won't need much else to go with it, it's about 4 inches deep in meat..lol But DH does like it when I homebake..although I don't think 6am was quite what he had in mind.. I've also cleaned my kitchen, quick tidied the living room, made the bed and washed up all the dirty bits from making the pie etc.. I'm now going to do some ironing while listening to Chris Evans on the radio. I have the bathmats on the line drying and a dark wash in the machine... Can someone take my temperature and see if this is me..lol. I have a feeling I will be fast asleep by 3pm, never mind I have energy tabs to take if necessary.. Yes you wouldn't know I have CFS from the amount I have done this morning but I am amazed what I can do when I pumped full of painkillers etc..although my body does tell me in the evening. I am usually hobbling around like an old woman..never mind at least the house and washing/ironing is all up to date for the weekend.
Right off to to the ironing now its 7.30am..

Morning All.
Wednesday ~ Kitchen and Dining room- Done
Monday - Sitting Room and Hallway - Done
I haven't been online at home for a bit as I decided for some mad reason to decorate the living room during the school holidays. It took a week just to strip the woodchip from the ceiling. Never again!!! Looks nice now though.
I hope everyone is keeping well, ((hugs)) for those suffering at the moment.
The twins are going to their mate's for tea so I am going to get my shopping done tonight leaving Saturday free to catch up on the flying and hopefully get some planting done.
OH spent 3 hours at the trauma clinic yesterday with his latest football injury (he is now banned from playing) He strained his calf muscle about a month ago playing. It was painful at the time but seemed to be recovering, until last week when he aggravated it running on the golf course. It has swelled up to twice it's size. After seeing the GP, who thought it was an achiles(sp!) injury, he was referred to the trauma clinic. 3 hours waiting for a 2 minute consulation. They have said it is a hematoma, told him to make an appointment for physio and and come back in 6 weeks. Last time he had a hematoma on his ankle (after being kicked at football) it became infected and he spent a week in hospital on IV antibiotics and having an op to remove the clot) I am going to be keeping a very close eye on this one and if it doesn't look to be reducing, I am going to nag him to go back for a second opinionTwins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -

Penelope_Penguin wrote: »How do you do that (feed tadpoles) - I thought they survived on the jelly stuff around them
/QUOTE]
Hi Penpen!
When they are just 'hatched' they do.. once they have eaten all that, plus all the unhatched eggs, they then survive on the microbes in the water plus pond weed. They are also cannibals if they get hungry enough, they pick off the smaller or weaker ones.
However as my tadpoles are in a bowl and fishtank in the house with me, and not in pond water, I put lettuce and peeled cucumber bits in the water which they nibble at and once they are of a reasonable size I feed them with Liquifry no. 2 for live bearers, which is basically a liquid food for fish that give birth to live fish (if you see what I mean :rotfl:). You buy it in pet shops and you put a drop or two in four times a day. No idea what is in it but they seem to thrive on it!
Once they start growing legs you can apparently feed them tiny bits of raw bacon etc but I have never done this. I just put more liquifry drops in 'til I release them back into the pond once they are full formed lil froglets and the tails have been absorbed. (which also feeds them).
Ok, no doubt you know FAR FAR more than you ever wanted to know about tadpole husbandry but it is a bit of a hobby of mine so many apologies for boring the pants off anyone who has had the patience to read all this!Diva.x
To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0
