Morning everyone.
I must call the florist to sort flowers for the funeral. Sorry if this offends anyone but I think that funeral flowers are the biggest waste of money...
Can't find any suitable shoes for the funeral. So I'm going to have a look in DD1's shoe emporium (she's got more pairs than me and that's saying something). We are both the same size but don't really share very much, she walks less than me so her heels reflect this fact.
Re flowers: You could always do something else - we got some lovely things when DS1 died - a plant, a candle and a big blue ball for the garden I seem to remember. I was sick of flowers by the time the funeral came around...oh and I was so not with it I wore a bright pink jacket to the funeral (it was the one I felt comfortable in) and no one minded - I've no idea what anyone else wore. The fact that you go and you care is what really matters. We'll all be thinking of you.0 -

I agree totally, we had a couple of small arrangements and then donations to charity. Don't stress about what to wear, those that love and care about you won't be bothered and those that don't love or care don't matter
I found some light coloured shoes out of the wardrobe for DH's funeral which no doubt some disapproved of but no one made any comments. I shall be thinking of you tomorrow.

Do you have a tutor/advisor you can talk through your options with?

MW rang OH on Monday but we've not heard anything since so she is probably not ringing abou anything important other than to nag me to see the consultant again.. which isn't going to be happening.. or she is as thick as I think she is and has forgotten.. either way.. she hasn't rang MY mobile.. freak that she is!.. Team of 4 Mw's.. the 2 I have met so far I thought the first was thick.. the second made her look of genius proportions!.. the scary thing being the thickest one had a student in!! Fills you with great hope for the future..

Well.. I've had a pm from a retired MW whinging about me 'badmouthing midwives'.. as far as I can see.. I only indicated someone who is unable to do the basics of their so-called profession shouldn't be in the job and definitely not teaching others! the first one was very pleasant.. the student was also very pleasant.. quiet, but that is confidence really.. but this second one didn't even know how to fill out blood forms and I had to explain to her what antibodies were .. you know the envelope things with your details on.. the worst part was I had a letter from the hospital stating exactly what to write on it.. !!! All very basic stuff IMO .. and what if I hadn't known.. what would she have done then?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I was not whinging - I just think your post is totally inappropriate for this thread. Its not about Flying is it? I found your post offensive and im usually quite laid back about these things. If you got a problem with the midwife take it up with her or take it to her supervisors.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
