  • you read it in bed too !:rotfl: :rotfl:

I have the 3 separate books, when I bought them I guessed that they were going to get a bit battered so I covered them in sticky backed plastic :o:o

Im not sure if the combined book has all of the info that is in the 3 books - the total number of pages (not included the index) for the 3 books is 825, is the combined book the same?

The combined book has 926 pages not including the index.

I do most of my reading in bed, it's the only place I can get some peace to read without distraction :D

  • Yes, I remember now - her last few newsletters were included in the combined book, the third book was already printed by the time she decided to stop writing.

I don't know about the penny pinchers book but I totally recommend the complete tightwad gazette. I am sure there are ways that you can get amazon vouchers for doing surveys and then you could get both books at no cost to you.

I decided to treat myself to the complete TWG last week. It arrived Thrusday. I finished it Friday. I am now re-reading it & taking notes.

A lot of the ideas aren't new ground, but it is set in such an inspiring way, I defy anyone not to make improvements after reading it. And I like to consider myself a fairly seasoned money saver/tight wadder:rolleyes: (although I do frequently fall off the wagon:p)

Only complaint I have about TWG:

it is apt to go a bit wrinkly when you read it in the bath!

grrrrr ! Just got back from the library & they dont have either the Tightwad Gazette or the Penny Pinchers Guide. They said they will put in a request for each of them (@ £3.50 per book !), so I may just get the Gazette off Amamzon or similar.
