BT Broadband Talk - a warning

I have recently got BT Total Broadband and have BT Broadband Talk connected.
It works OK, albeit it has required rebooting a couple of times. The two main advantages are an effective second Telephone line with a separate Telephone No(a number starting 0560) calls are free after 6pm and weekends and very cheap for international numbers.
However here is the rub. All calls on my ‘normal’ landline phone are on an inclusive plan through One Tel(now Talk Talk). During the setting up of Broadband Talk I phoned the 0560 Broadband number several times for testing. I have just rec’d my Talk Talk bill and these calls have been charged at Premium G21 rate – fortunately the calls were short and we are not talking large sums.
BT told me 0560 Nos should be treated as a ‘normal’ 01xxx/02xxx numbers. Talk Talk when emailed cannot understand the problem (or at least their Indian Branch can’t) and advise me to check the number as they can’t recognise it – so they make it a a premium No.
However reading SAY NO TO 0870 it would appear that the information I was given verbally by BT is not correct and all calls to BT Broadband Talk are not free(and are premium calls @ 5p a min) and not included in inclusive packages from anyone including BT
The problem is I have told my daughter to use the 0560 number and give it to her friends(to save her tying up our main phone). I suspect her friends will be annoyed when they see their bills.
In future I will be giving out my 0560 number to certain firms and people!!!
