Skybox work on Freesat ?

Hi will be cancelling my sky when i'm no longer held to term within the next couple of months. Don't really get a chance to watch alot of TV anyway and just feel the money could be better spent else where.

Does anyone know when I cancel with them will the sky box work as freesat box ? Will I need to contact them to get another card sent of will it kick in off the orginal card. Not wanting to pay anything extra for it as my tv has built in freeview which I could use instead.

Your card will become a de facto Freesat from $ky card. This means you will get your regional BBC1/2/ITV1 and your card will give you FIVE on EPG 105. You will also get $ky3, VIVA, Liverpool FCTV and the FIVER bouquet of channels.

You do not have to lift a finger!

What you'll have once you cancel is known as FreesatFromSky.

When you cancel, Sky may try to tell you that you'll need the £20 FreesatFromSky card. You shouldn't need to, your old card should be just fine, you need to tell them that.

The card itself provides regionalisation of BBC and ITV, access to FIVER, FIVEUS and Sky3. Depending on where you are in the country, you may also lose FIVE, but this can be added in manually.

Easiest way to find out what you'll be left with is to pull the card out your box.

Just make sure it's the WHITE smartcard in the box & not the old blue one.
