I thought most of it was filmed in Porth - certainly the village shop is across the road from Porth Rugby Club and the street scenes seemed to be Hannah Street.

It was a bit strange with the new Charlie, I liked the old one. Was amazed to see Mrs Doyle from Father Ted as the Ice Cream Van woman. Excellent start to the series though.

Does anyone remember the episode where Fagin was being turned into a gorilla by a mad woman in a castle - well, I swore blind that the actress who plays Mrs Hepplewhite also played the mad woman (you never saw them in the same shots....). Problem was, the phone rang just before the credits rolled, so I couldn't check. DD says I'm mad (she selfishly didn't stay to check the credits for me) but I'm sure I'm right - can anyone put me out of my misery, please? Also, the mad woman sounded like a 'posh' Mrs H.
