I love High Hopes as well - although DH and DD are a bit snobby about it and think I'm a bit sad.
If you like High Hopes you'll love the film 'Very Annie Mary' - it'll have you crying with laughter (although, some friends who lived in the 'Valleys' area portrayed in the film couldn't see the funny side of it).0 -
is that film very annie mary is it on dvd or in the pics
.. not up on the latest films.... also what is it about
i really do love high hopes steve meo.. lives in the next village... and we used to see him at the school picking a kid up.. must have been a relative....but he is really down to earth and loved the kids talking to him about seeing him on t.v. and he's only 4 ft and a fart...... well short anyway.....he is also on a cit com on chanel 3 i think.. not to sure what its called.....
and the grand mother.... well... i can imagine me being like that at her age.:DWork to live= not live to work0 -
My friend told me about the film Very Annie Mary, she watched it with her mum and they thought it was hilarious. It's not a new film though.
As for High Hopes it's sooo funny - the episode where Prince Charles visited and they gave him space cake and then the boys dressed up as Al Quaeda nearly left me having to have an ambulance!!!! I also love Satellite City by the same writer, especially the old man, Idris. Brilliant.
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -

Very Annie Mary is quite old, therefore quite cheap to buy, and is also a 'film four' film, which is now free.0 -

That's why you have to watch every episode - because there is usually a gem tucked into even the most pathetic episode. My whole family think it's useless, and won't watch it, but they all loved Annie Mary, so you're not alone.0 -
Enjoyed the one to-night - especially the line about the PC taking his blow-up doll to the swimming pool "we just drifted apart"
(OK, it was better in the show than on here)Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -
