Query re problem with Talk Talk - any advice please?

Yes, its beginning to make sense now - I just wish the TT 'advisors' had explained it properly. Honestly, i was told i could have the package at the beginning - so i am guessing now that the advisor helping me today is potentially doing me big favour- although, again, he definitely did talk about their allocation at my exchange being used up, did not say LLU , so maybe he meant they are allowing a certain number at the essentials price in each area? i am going to get back to them again and try for more info. many many thanks once again. ss

What price does the TT line checker say you can get on your exchange?
Essentials is nothing to do with allocations, if you are on an LLU exchange with free LLU capacity then you can get it for £6.99. I doubt you will ever be able to contact the same advisor again and they will deny all knowledge of this 'special offer'.
Sorry but without the exchange info it's not really possible to advise further.

Not sure where to check for what price as you suggest. The person I spoke to today at TT has also exchanged some emails with me, and has promised to take responsibility - if it had just been over the phone i would have kicked it into touch without a second thought, but I am assuming as its promised in the email it must have some sort of status. Sorry again please no personal offence intended, just feel awkward re posting my exchange. I do appreciate all your help though, thanks again.

Just put your phone number into the checker on the TT home page (right hand side).
Isn't this what you did when you signed up to check what price you could get?

No, i did not check it online when I ordered it - i just did it over the phone, now i realise this was a mistake but too late. When i try to go to the checker now with my number and postcode, its telling me i have already ordered the essentials package and its being processed for me - which i suppose is good news. I've decided to stick with it for now, as I said i have got it all confirmed by email. However, i am v grateful for advice and help, maybe i will know a bit better what to do next time round...best regards to those who have helped, esp macman. ss.
