gas oven... good or bad?

.... or if you don't like that then get a fan assisted gas oven that makes the temperature much more even. Personally, I can't see why anyone would buy an electric oven.
If I had a fan assisted gas oven then it would probably be better, but doesn't gas give a very "moist" heat compared with the "dry" heat from electric?0 -
Electric hobs seem quite rare in new properties these days as they are a sod to use. I had one in my old flat and would NEVER buy a flat without a gas hob/gas connection.
Gas ovens are a different matter. I don't see many gas ovens less than about 30 years old - my granny used to have one complete with a high level gas grill, but definitely a rarity!
Try an induction hob. My ex is a chef and we both HATED the electric solid plate hob with a passion, once I got the induction even he had to grudgingly admit it was pretty close to gas. And sooooooo easy to clean up.
