Hi Everyone
I'm a new MFW!
I live with my OH and DD who is 8 months old.
We bought our 2 bedroom flat in 2007 for £160,000 with a mortgage of £130,000 from Halifax. It was a 2 year fixed rate mortgage of 4.98% which ended in December 2008. We're now on their SVR.
Our outstanding mortgage balance is now £119,813.20 and our monthly payment is £656.64. We intend to overpay by £100 every month. Although I'm hoping to overpay by more with extra money I make from Ebay sales, Quidco, Valued Opinions, Pureprofile, Lightspeed and Onepoll.

You have close to a 75% LTV now so any overpayments MIGHT ? help when you start to look for a new deal.

I've just remembered that between us we have three Halifax reward accounts which gives us £15 a month extra to overpay into our mortgage! :j0

I should do that more often too during quieter periods and my lunch hour!
Some good news - I got an invitation to join Shop and Scan's Petrol Panel which means an extra £2.50 a month. Yippee! :j
OH has been asked by his boss to be "on call" all weekend, but in return he told OH to take me out for a nice meal up to the value of £50 and to claim it back on his expenses! Free food!!!0 -

Lucky you
I hope you enjoy the meal out.
I'd love to get into shop and scan - definitely for the petrol and maybe the general shopping. I did register on the "please let me join your panels" website but have never heard back. It seems a great way of making extra pennies. I've got a Nielssen scanner which is not as good but is still earning me points and making me check my receipts carefully.Debt at highest: £8k. Hi Katsu
I've been a member of shop and scan for about three years now. It's a nice easy way to earn a bit of extra cash. I also do their snack on the go thing or whatever it's called where you text them with the snacks that you buy.0
