There is a dedicated forum for your Humax where you will get all the advice you need.

    http://www.hummy.org.uk/forums/index.php

Personally I would do a reset and then download any software updates.

If you unplug it at night then you wil never get the software upgrades. You need to leave it on standby in order to receive the updates. Check what version of the system software you have in the System Status menu.
The software transmission schedule can be found on this link:

Well if you follow the link I gave you and look for your model, then under "Humax PVR9150t discussions" you will see a section called "Downloads" Click on the link and you will eventually end up on this page.

    http://downloads.hummy.org.uk/index.php?option=com_rokdownloads&view=folder&Itemid=3

There you will see the latest software update and the instruction manual.

You might then want to go back to the "Discussions" section and look under some of the other headings where you will get lots of advice/tips/ on using your Humax.

You can also have a look on the Digital Spy Forum, where you will see there are a lot of issues with Humax PVRs

It sounds like you have not got the latest updates which do appear over the air, but you do need to leave the set in standby and make sure you have the auto update switched on in the menu.
