Thanks for replies, I will never give my business to LTSB or HSBC again so looks like either goig to Natwest, Barclays or Co-operative.

Is there is a Building Society that can help me?

:o I will make up my mind soon I am just conscious that I already bank with Natwest and Co-op personaly so dont want to be accused by anyone (especialy members) of maybe profiting, if I have a separate bank / building society accessible by all then I can keep everything separated. Not that I would ever steal any money from the club of course just concious of how it looks to others!

    Thanks

    :)

    Thanks again

We do exactly what Jo wants through Unity Trust. You can even have 3 different levels of authority: View means you can only see what's in the account, and probably where it came from etc. Submit means you can also initiate payments but not sign off on them. Authorise means that you can View, Submit, or sign off on transactions.

Just out of interest, how do you pay cash/cheques into a Unity Trust account? I can't find any info about it on their website!
Charities Aid foundation (CAF bank) have a current account with ATM card and pay interest on the account. The bank also has online banmking and cash can be paid in at HSBC

Note that you have to pay for ATM withdrawals.

In my experience, Natwest's community account banking is worse than their personal banking - and that's saying something!

LTSB or HSBC are much better than Natwest for this, but probably the best are the charity-specific banks CAF and Unity Trust.

I know you can pay cheques in over the counter at the post office (or nominated bank, I think. I know we can take cash out that way) YOu can also post them in a pre-paid envelope. I always see our cheques VERY quickly on the system as we also have internet banking.

I love Unity Trust as their customer service is outstanding. You call them. They always pick up within a few rings and the person who you speak to DEALS with your issue from start to finish.

    Marvellous.

What scb said about UT: we post our cheques off, but there MAY be a facility for paying them in over the counter somewhere - pre-arranged bank or MAYBE PO.

We can withdraw cash from two nominated bank branches, and pay cash in there as well.

Their customer service is superb. I phoned the other day to ask about details of a cheque which was cashed in 2008, and had my answer within a minute.

I LOVE their internet banking. Secure, yet flexible, IYSWIM.
