I'm one of those customers (now wishing I'd read this thread 3 weeks ago) now needing a bit of advice.
We placed an order 3 weeks ago (just over £1k) using the 10 month 0% option.
We heard nothing until 28th Feb when emails started arriving informing us one item worth £22.99 had been fulfilled and despatched with the full delivery charge of £34.95.
Emails then arrived from the finance company informing us the credit agreement had been executed and what/when our payments were going to be.
It's now obvious this despatch of a single item was a last ditch scam to initiate the finance payment for which we now appear at first glance to be liable for, as the agreement was signed over 14 days ago.
Anyone know if this is this the case or is there anything we can do or need to do ?0 -

I think I'd start on new thread on a credit forum rather than tack onto a very old thread, probably get more help.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0 -
I placed an order with them in early Feb. I was told that the credit card system was being upgraded and could I pay by BAC's or cash. As the builders desperately needed the items (toilet and sink only thankfully) I trusted them and paid by BAC's. It now turns out, like others they lied and were getting people to send them money via routes that had no legal protection for the customer. The person's responsible for issuing these orders to staff and the staff actioning them with knowledge of the situation should be excluded from any financial benefits they get when a company goes into administration and they should be prosecuted for theft just like a burglar is as they have carried out an act of fraud.0

Placed an order at end of jan for a march 23rd delivery. Went on to check today if date was correct and found out they went bust. No letter or call to let me know, thank god checked today or would be waiting on items on 23rd.
Question is I paid with credit card. I called them and they are sending out the forms for claim.
They said they might not be able to claim amount back.
Is this correct, I thought if I paid with card I was covered, also I pay insurance on card also.
Will I get it back ok (its a lot of money to lose).Or should I be worried about refund.
Thanks0 -
If there is a potential to get the funds back from them and they seem ‘willing’ then card issuers would usually prefer that you have exhausted that avenue - however if you have paid by credit card then you should be afford some protection under section 75 - others will not doubt be able to advise better.0

You should be able to get it refunded from your bank.0
