Can anyone give advice? Desperately need a new boiler. Am planning on selling the house hopefully next year, so only need something cheap and cheerful that will pass any home report rating. I can't afford anything amazing.
Have been quoted £1,200 to install a new ferroli domicondens (b rated boiler).
Will be adding condensing pipe for kitchen waste, a flu extension and a fuse spur.
Should I go wtih this? Other quotes (Scottish gas are around the £2,800 mark).
Can someone help a gal in need?

That's very cheap. The boiler costs about £550 incl VAT, so not much left for the other parts and a couple of days labour. VAT included?
I suggest you check that the installer is approved by Ferroli and GSR.
If you are selling and the old one will last out, is it worth it? A Ferroli is hardly going to be a new buyer's boiler of choice. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Hi macman... thanks for the reply. Yes, they are GSR registered. Have been recommended by a very good friend of mine. The old boiler is kaput... does not work at all, Alpha - about 20 years old. We've had it repaired a few times but it's just getting uneconomical to fix it.0

Have a look at:

Plenty of respectable branded 24kW boilers for £600 to £800.0
