How do you increase Maximum connection speed?

I have no phone line in my property yet but according to BT the maximum connection speed for my house is a rubbish 3MB. Is there any way I can increase this?

I am thinking about getting a phone line set up via the Post Office since they have no min contract and then switching to SKY's 20GB broadband and talk offer. However, if 3MB is the best I can get then I will just get something else.

What's available at your exchange?, do a search with Samknows, whilst you are there you can use Sams mapping engine to give you a connection speed estimate.
PS To get a faster connection you could try cable broadband, if available, short of that move closer to the exchange.

No you can not increase the maximum speed your line can handle you are stuck with it unless it gets upgraded one day

Try removing the ring wire! That increases the speed!
