Selling 2 houses and buying new one/building extension with father-in-law

Firstly what does your father-in-law want? Secondly what do you want? I don't really get the impression you want him living with you (not a criticism just a statement). Older people living alone tend to be more introverted, often mildly depressed. Not all care homes are horrible places for people to hang around to die, some are wonderful happy places. Some old folks even meet someone and get married again!
My grandma was in hospital for months whilst we tried to get the state to pay for her care (no assets) and my mum went to visit every single nursing home in the whole of Leeds and surrounding areas. The place they chose was someone's hobby not really a business, it looked more like a family home than a nursing home. My gran only lived there a short time during which they had her making Easter bonnets and laughing and playing cards with special shuffling machines for old hands, I remember her doing all her 'dying' in hospital not in that home.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
