declutter now or after the move?

As everyone says, the sooner you start the better. I spent some 8 weeks before moving visiting the local dump every weekend (sometimes 2 or 3 times), advertising stuff on Freecycle, giving books, toys, clothes to charity shops.
Even now, 6 months after the move, I have stuff that needs to be thrown out as I've realised it will never be needed and I was keeping it 'just in case'!For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0 -
One thing that caught me out when we moved from a bigger house to a smaller one - at the moment, all your stuff is nicely put away inside cupboards, wardrobes etc. When you move, you take all the stuff out, and put it into boxes, but the cupboards are still the same size that they are now. So when you move to the new place, you will have empty cupboards but big boxes full of stuff sitting next to them - so it takes up twice as much space as before. We found that the rooms were floor to ceiling boxes, and could hardly get into the rooms to unpack the stuff into the cupboards again. So I say declutter asap!0

Some very good advice in this thread, as I plan to move to something bigger I was planning to declutter after the move, a lot of my clutter is actually home accesories that I like but don't have space for, so I figured I'd see what I could use in the new house and get rid of the rest once moved.
But I guess everything else I should make a start now, I've not even sold yet, but It will help me keep the house tidier for viewings. I did already decultter for the photos, but I have shoved alot of things into cupbards and the shed.0
