Switched to TalkTalk. Phone live last week and broadband live yesterday, so have disconnected BT router. Had already paid up until 23 April. Really don't trust that BT are going to try and fleece us somehow!
Question:
Will I be able to get refund for 2 weeks phone and 1 week's broadband? Do I have to call them about this?
Will they demand their router back at some horrendous cost?
Anything else we should be vigilant about?
Just wonderin! Cheers

make sure that your account is fully closed, that way you should get any future suprises....0

It's unlikely that you'll get any refunded money - BT usually make you pay off the end of your contract. Did you leave early and pay a cancellation charge or did your contract just come to an end?
Equipment prices... again it depends on when you left. If you'd been with BT less than 12 months your home hub will cost you £44.99 but if you were with them 12 months or longer you shouldn't have to pay anything.

Hope this helps0 -

Yes, make absolutely sure that you account is fully closed with BT. I had a terrible time with BT. Despite calling them twice to make sure that they have closed my acount, I got the bill on the following month and had a tough time getting my money back.0 -
Talk Talk oh dear!hope you are not expecting reliability0

Thanks for that. Will give them a call to make sure it's all closed. Our contract came to an end. We've been with BT for years...ridiculous that you'd have to pay anything for a router! We'll see....they can have it back. Probably old school now.
Hmmm...is TalkTalk notoriously rubbish then? Well...whatever, just wanted out of BT. Like I said to the TalkTalk guy, TT might be rubbish too, but at least I can whinge about a whole different company!0 -

Yes you will be able to whinge about them for the whole of your minimum term contract of 18 months!

Something tells me you didn't do much research before switching providers...No free lunch, and no free laptop0
