and still buy on a regular basis.
My cat has Advantage flea treatments
from the vet,my cousins cat uses Frontline
Plus, anyone who uses these flea treatments
on a regular basis knows how expensive
they are.My vet charges £45 + VAT for
a course of once a month doses. My cousins
vet charges £36 + VAT.This is for a three
month course.
I found out that both these brands are
only available from vets in the UK on
prescription. But in Australia they are over
the counter medications available in
pet stores for anyone to buy.
We buy online from Pets megastore
and save a fortune.Just looking at
a recent reciept here thats on my desk,
Last time ordered the Frontline for
dogs,for a friend
1 x Frontline plus flea control cat 1 - 23lb £12.64
1 x Frontline plus flea control dog 10-20kg £13.45
Shipping to GB - £1.30
They usualy arrive in a week,
they have a free phone number
for UK customers -
0800 731 8045
Allow for the time difference so
ring after 11pm at night.
You can order online,fax,phone
or by mail.
Also from time to time they
have a free P&P on orders
as well.
Your invoice has the Australian
dollar prices on it alongside the
UK price and they charge your card in
Sterling.
We have never paid duty but
have always ordered in amounts
under £30 to avoid it.
I know my vets not too pleased
but we are a low income family
and if this was not available to us
there is no way we would be able
to afford to buy these products on
a regular basis.
Is that the 3 or six month packs?
I just bought 6 months worth for around £20 from petmeds, found a code for a pound off and got 5% cashback from quidcoDebt Free Marathon: Start 01/06/09 £16714 - Current Position £14514 - Finish Line Xmas 20100 -
I will say this: Some folks are saying that DVD's from the United States cannot be played on their DVD player here in the UK because of the "Region".
However, there are websites that will give you codes to change your DVD player so that they play "All region" DVD's.
I did it with my DVD player and now I can watch DVD's from all over the world.
I had the website on my computer, but lost it when I upgraded. Maybe someone out there can post that website again? I have a Philips DVD and I went in with the controller, punched a few buttons, and it changed my player to "All regions" rather than just "Region UK".0 -
Going back to a post made ages ago (page 2 i think). Has anyone else bought from Glooks.com and if so whats the service like and more importantly are the goods genuine?
Cheers!!0 -
I've seen a few messages on here about DVDs that mention the region 1 problem, but not the PAL vs NTSC question.
I have a multi-region DVD player, but my TV is not NTSC-compatible (relatively old, small and basic!).
Does anyone know if this is a problem? Can anyone confirm that they have successfully bought and played back Region 1 DVDs on their PAL TV?
There are a series of kids' DVDs that aren't available in Region 2 that I'd like to order but didn't want to throw my money away....
Cheers,

Both items arrived within a week UPS delivery and cost about a quarter of the cost if bought in the UK. A PING driver I bought was £400 in the UK and under £80 with delivery from 3balls. This club arrived in a matter of days.simonts wrote:Is that the 3 or six month packs?

I have used:
www.peepersspecs.com
for attractive magnified reading glasses. I had seen some in stores here in the UK like John Lewis and Fenwicks for £19.99 per pair.
I then found Peepers in the US had the same ones for $20 (some designs are cheaper).
They charge $4.85 per order for shipping to the UK.
I bought two pairs - one from the sale items and one tinted for reading in the sun - both came in attractive cases. The total cost including P & P was $25.
I did not have to pay duty.Born to shop;)0 -

I've found the most fantastic t-shirt site if you want bargains from the US, they are currently having a sale so all the t-shirts are $10!!!
http://www.threadless.com/?streetteam=Sayaf
postage for one t-shirt is $6.50 and for two it was $9.50 last time i ordered, and if you only order one or two you are not liable for import duty/tax (the threshold is £18, which is the main reason why i don't order from the states - it's a killer).
the best thing about the site is all the t-shirts are only available from this site, so you're unlikely to see 10,000 other people wearing the same top (unlike topshop/primark clothes).
they're usually pretty good with delivery, a couple of weeks, but i'd order soon though if you want your shirt in time for christmas.0 -
