I think a lot of places are saying wfh again. My place decided that we aren't efficient enough so have to stay.
Sorry you didn't enjoy your trip as much as you wanted to. How you've warmed up now!4 -

Oh dear, maybe that will change with the rates going up now?Yesterday was best friend Xmas day out 😁 we went this time to the Ham yard hotel for afternoon tea (expensive but great!), had a quick mooch about the shops, then pizza express at St. Paul’s followed by a candlelight string quartet playing rock music concert in butchers hall which was a lovely small venue. It was so nice being in the centre of London again, way quieter than usual, Piccadilly station was virtually empty which I have never seen before - often you queue to get into the subway! Plus we got a seat on every tube but one, crazy times. We did tests before going and wore masks etc. but so many were not on the tube it’s so frustrating. Anyway tomorrow is the big day, not one of the kids weddings- better than that 😂 it’s Harry Potter studio tour Xmas dinner in the great hall day! I’m nervous and excited, no idea if we are on a table of strangers , I guess we are 😱 and feeling like I might look a bit OTT in my outfit! Oh well, it’s a big tick off the bucket list I haven’t got round to writing (since the one I did 7 years ago and didn’t complete) actually thats not a bad idea, new year new bucket list 😬MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3

Have a great time NG! ❤Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.
Starting Mortgage Balance (June 2019) £72,000.
Aiming to be mortgage free by my 40th birthday, June 2026!2 -
Thanks jessy 🙂
The Harry Potter studio Xmas dinner really was amazing, lovely dinner in the great hall and disco on platform 9&3/4, a real mix of people, some dressed up, dd wore a bright green sequinned flared trouser suit and I wore a floor length back dress with cape, great fun, not everyday you get to dress up 😬Back to reality now and sadly ds2 has Covid and is isolating, so far we are all negative and we have cancelled the few things we were doing over the next few days just incase. I’m trying to decide what to do Xmas food shop wise, dh had already asked his parents over Boxing Day but I’m hoping they will cancel (they should!) and obviously we will if anyone still has Covid, if that is the case I’m thinking of doing my dream Boxing Day which is no cooking and takeaway pizza in front of the tv 😂Going to check the finances now as I’ve plenty of time on my hands 🤦🏼♀️MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
Nope! Still working in the office regardless.
Sorry to hear about ds2. I hope he's not too poorly.
Love the outfit, why don't we wear capes anymore?3 -
We are awash with Covid in London right now, fingers crossed for you at work KP!The reason we don’t wear capes now is because if they are long you trip up all the time, at least I did a few times in heels and a long tight dress 😂 Ds2 is ok, well enough to play Xbox for most of the day anyway….everyone else is still negative here fingers crossed for the next few days.
I went to get some food today, planned on a few bits for a couple of days but in the I ended up spending £179 😱. The only alcohol was two boxes of beer at £10.99 each so I don’t know how I’ve done that!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
Haven’t dropped by for a while.. keep testing. It took 4 days from cold like symptoms to test positive and 7 for my husband. I hope you escape it. I had to cancel my booster and now can’t have it until January so feel quite vulnerable as I could catch the new variant tomorrow. Stay safe x

We had someone come into work with his wife testing positive and coughing. Obviously he tested positive later that day. I. Was. Furious. It's so stupid to come into the office in those circumstances.
Sounds like you need to wear your Cape more often in order to master the art!4 -
Hi never too old, how are you? It’s been such a long time! Still all clear here for the rest of us, I hope you manage to stay safe until you get your booster 🙂
Hi KP, that’s terrible. I’m amazed how many people say I’ve got a cold/cough and DON’T think it’s Covid, assume it is until you know otherwise 😡 My mil rang yesterday to say she has a cold and fil has a cough but it’s “not Covid” neither have done a test 😱 BIL is dropping some off for them tonight to take. On the other hand ds2 who had a full week of gigs and football matches as cancelled everything for now just incase, I just don’t get it sometimes.
