Hi NG, just caught up with you. Seems like you are doing so well. How was meeting the inlaws? Also how was the wedding dress?2
-
Hi KP, i didn’t do either 😆 the in-laws didn’t want us over as mil has a bad hand apparently, which is a bit odd. I also didn’t see the dress try on as she asked her nan instead so they’re wasn’t room. I did meet up for lunch after which went ok, not sure what happened with the dress as ds2 was there so it was hush hush 😁
Just sent the boys’ their £5k each finally, I’m holding into dds and paying for stuff as and when so it doesn’t flag up on her current account while getting ready for a mortgage, she would have a lot of wedding bits coming out otherwise! No spend day as ds2’s fiancé’s dad paid for lunch after a fight over it, result! 😬MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1 -
I suppose if the hand is throbbing then it would be a bit hard to make the best impression?
You are so kind, hope the wedding bits are coming along well.2 -
I don’t know KP, I’ll call her tomorrow I think as he said she was in bed with it and he can be a bit bossy.
Well I’ve had a shock tonight - a good one if it’s correct 😬
I am useless with most things on a tablet (except shopping of course 😁) and I used to have a fabulous spreadsheet I found on here years ago from a man named Dave, after my old laptop was on its last legs the lovely CathT emailed me a copy to my iPad. So I’ve been using various versions for ages now with no problems, except tonight I noticed I would need to only pay another £65 to knock a month off at the end, so I added the £65 onto it and no change 🤔 the I noticed my actual payments were not including my monthly min payments!Being lazy I never delete anything so went through old screenshots of my spreadsheets and there’s a good few months of this issue at least. I’ve now sifted through various versions I’ve used in the past and updated what I think is a correct version and it’s knocked almost a year off 😱 previous date oct 2025 and new date nov 2024.I’m both embarrassed and over the moon with my lack of computer skills, although I shall double check tomorrow incase I’ve missed something obvious 😂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -

You'd be surprised at the spreadsheet errors that people have, very happy your error is in your favour!2

Oops, it’s been a few days as I’ve been busy this week working on the garden 😁 After my spreadsheet “malfunction” I decided to spend a bit on some things to brighten up the garden. Well it started at the boot sale I visited Sunday where I bought some repro ice lolly signs, that then extended in the week to a homemade water feature with a ceramic koi carp, some bunting and a few plants. Alongside the many meals out of last weekend I’ve spent almost all of the surplus due in a couple of months 😱 I’ve borrowed it from the personal spending pot so it’s ok. We also have a cold hot tub and have almost run out of fixes to try, so I feel like finally I should get someone in to assess what’s wrong and give us a price. I’ve avoided this for ages as I think it will be a lot of money ☹️ however a second year of no holidays and I would like to be able to use it again if possible.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2
