I did used to dye my own hair when I was younger I have had a range of colours from black and purple through to very light. The only time I've reverted to a natural (mid brown) hair colour is when I was pregnant and my youngest is now nearly 14! I am tempted to just dye it all a warm brown but I quite like being a dark blonde and I am nervous of home lightening. The sensible thing would probably be to dye it at home but I don't know if I could get the shade I want. There is a bit of me that thinks when I am no longer doing a corporate job I am just going to go "sod it" and dye it bright blue.MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000

Have you thought about being a hair model I think places like Toni & Guy have trainees that need practice?
It costs me a fraction of the price, so MS. X3 -
Hi arkers, I have never looked into it to be honest, at the moment I’m leaning towards diy semi permanent but if I go down the bleach route again I would 🙂
Lady gnome, I feel like going darker is a lot safer than lighter, it took a few goes to not be orange during lockdown when bleaching 😂 if you do decide to go blue please post a photo!

Payday today, everything is going to the cruise pot until it’s fully covered. I’ve done well it the last week or so on the £20 day food/petrol budget, there’s £239.81 left which is great! I might skim a little off and save or op it , so from now until 5th June we have £100 for food (should be enough petrol in the car).
Tonight I went to the cinema with ds2 and fiancée for the first time in a long time, I still have the cineworld membership which I will use a lot, tonight’s film was the unholy and honestly it was terrible 😆 no spending done as fiancée drive and ds2 had already bought drinks on the way.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2 -

Hi bargain Hunter thanks for popping in, I actually did buy some a few months ago when my hair started to break. The reviews were amazing and I carefully used it twice as week and the breakage got worse 😱 it took me a few weeks to realise it was the possible cause of this so I stopped and the breakage stopped. I then did a bit more digging online and it found some reviews saying the same thing had happened, these were hidden amongst all the good reviews, all very strange!Funnily enough best friend has dropped off a hair mask for me today that’s supposed to be great “give me” it’s called, it’s on now 🙂
Finances checked over today, I’ve skimmed off the extra grocery money think I can do without and put it in the holiday pot along with all the kids” rent this month (£300) I’ve now a £500 float in my personal spending pot which I will use each month and then top up from their rent at the end - hopefully always staying way under £200 spending! All furlough ends next month and all wages are going to the holiday pot in may/June/July which will mean everything is covered and they’re should be a £500 surplus. From August it’s back to hardcore mortgage oping again to try and make up some lost ground!Small online shop done today for £52 from Sainsbury’s (only £1 delivery for tomorrow) i haven’t done a proper big shop for ages but am doing well with using up what we have in the cupboards, I might even post a daily update of my dull cheap meals 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
I’m a long time lurker and really enjoy the variety of your posts. Would love to know what meals you manage to rustle up from the cupboards - we are terrible at using up and could really do with some inspiration!3

Hi Ramouth, thanks for popping by 🙂 no inspiration here so far this weekend meal wise I’m afraid as I had boiled egg soldiers last night 😆This week will be similar to last week trying to use up what we have, homemade pizza, pasta etc. I’ve found a new lentil pasta sauce recipe to try and splashed out on two cans of lentils instead of the usual dried ones.
I have a very un mse three days ahead, today ds2’s fiancée is trying a wedding dress on with her nan, dad and best friend, and she wants ds2 and I to meet them after for lunch at the h@rvester as I have not met them except for her dad. Tomorrow I’ve booked a gastro pub for lunch with dd and my mum to discuss wedding ideas, she’s in the thick of planning it and is working all the time so not getting much input for anyone except me and fiancée and she wants to involve her granny 😁 then Tuesday it’s a girls curry night for the first time since about July I think, booked weeks ago. All of this will come from my personal spends 😱 A year of nothing then three days on the trot!Yesrday we took two car loads of rubbish to the tip from the log cabin renovations (finally) and I bought a few solar lights form £1land for the garden, will borrow the jet wash this week and try and get the garden looking good for summer. Most of what I planted from seed died when it got potted up outside, the sunflowers are good and there’s a few tomatoes and a courgette hanging in for dear life but that’s it 🙄MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
