I think you do wonderful cooking for 7 on a budget. Near impossible I would say with fussy eaters. xx2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks Mrs MP, I’ve got nothing much else to do right now so it’s keeping me busy, wouldn’t have time if I was working 😆

NewGirly- I second that your cooking budget prowess is just inspiring!!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!2 -
Not really but thanks KK 🙂Small icel@nd shop came today (£54) and so dinner was frozen chicken pies , beans and chips so another night off for me. breakfast was porridge and lunch was jacket potatoes - well tiny jacket potatoes as again they had sold out so we had 2 bags of value spuds instead. A bit of a beige day all in all 😆 will do better tomorrow!I’m very tempted to book an afternoon tea delivery for Sunday (valentines) , it’s a strange day for us as it’s the anniversary of when we lost our first Dd, this year we probably can’t visit the remembrance book as we would usually due to restrictions. Not sure yet I’m still mulling it over, but am feeling the need to do something nice this year especially with a houseful. Will um and ah a bit longer probably 😬
Good news today as ds1 has shown way more common sense than his parents at the same age and has been saving hard, he’s just opened a Lisa (by a provider he found on mse!) and has apparently saved a hefty chunk throughout lockdown, he says it’s amazing how much you can save if you don’t go out all the time 😆 Dd is similar and has been saving since at school, ds2 however is not quite there yet!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5 -
Time to raise the rent 🤣? Seriously though, to have two of them saving at that age is great. Once DS2 realises he can't afford to do the things the others can I'm sure he'll pick it up too 😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!5 -
😆 perhaps I should Sc!Still waiting for for asd@ delivery which is now two and a half hours late, dinner is chicken and veg casserole for four with rice and crusty bread as it won’t be enough otherwise, plus frozen veggie random bits for the rest of us.I had £33 payout from topcashback today, so have sent an extra £10 to the holiday fund and bought a £20 am@zon gift card to offset against the Xmas budget later in the year hopefully!New battery bought for Geraldine today (£82 😱) dh said he could fit it so I went and collected it and he can’t 😆 so he’s off to pay £15 to get them to do it now.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2

Hi NG, hope today goes as well as it can for you.
Ouch to the battery cost, tell Geraldine to not be such a diva.5 -

Thank you guys ❤️Busy weekend, the men came to get the hot tub out of the shed yesterday, they are coming back to cement the floor next weekend and ds2’s girlfriends dad is an electrician so he’s coming in the week to extend the armoured cable and check it all, no idea how much it will cost 😱 It took hours to clean it all up and the lid looks rather faded now so will buy outdoor raincover to go over it for £20 odd.
The grocery budget is under pressure, but if if I shop a day later than I should I can use the next weeks allocation and it should be fine. Friday was Indian “takeaway” night, which took hours to prep, not sure I’ll keep doing that every week! Saturday was homemade pizza night and today we all had the afternoon tea delivery, so not so good for the waistline 😆
As for valentines treats, I got nothing and dh received a Harry Potter card as I liked it and a bag of £1land peanuts, romance is not dead 😂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6 -
Exciting day today - I went to a couple of shops 🥳 got a few bits in boots and in £1land, exciting times! It should more or less tide us over until lockdown is lifted with bits we can’t get in the weekly online food shop, also popped in a few Mother’s Day bits and cards in £1land so that’s now sorted too, it’s low key this year.Mum has had her first jab today which is great, she’s not really been out except to get click and collect food with my dad. I think being indoors 24/7 can knock your confidence after a while, I’ve been getting a bit of cabin fever lately with less walks, so will need to rectify that!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3
