LR driver sounds like a *****. I've no advice, I'm afraid, though if I lived closer I may have offered to tow him out of the way with my Defender.2018 totals:

Thanks Alex, I appreciate the gesture
Very unproductive day yesterday, Dd was upset and stressed about uni (other members of group not even showing up let alone pulling weight) so after a chat I made her sit and watch a couple of movies downstairs with popcorn and she even ate a whole tub of the yellow sticker ice cream :T end result much happier daughter.
Today needs to be washing, cleaning and tidying. For Mother's Day we are visiting the inlaws tonight for dinner and tomorrow have my parents round for a sandwich style lunch ( they didn't fancy a big dinner at lunch time, so it's fine by me) Dads making the sarnies, he makes amazing finger ones, I need to get a few crisps, crudit!s and chocolate dipped strawberries and prosecco. I might walk to town and get the bus back, it can be my excercise for the week
Wages shuffled and another month gone :T I'm attempting to live on a bit less again to try and keep the end date at August next year instead of sept, it's a £40 a month drop so not sure it's sustainable, or even that I should do it reallyI think I'll probably be making choices on a month by month basis really. Next month we will be under £50k which doesn't feel real.
Weight loss going ok for a change
Oh just remembered, I am switching a Santander account to dhs Halifax reward for a £75 bonus - it was a pop up when I logged in to check the account yesterday there was none on my reward account not sure why , but it's worth checking as it's a lot less hassle switching into an account you already hold, I love a bit of free money!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
You're welcome.
Though I would have to credit my mother with the idea. My ex-business partner had a similar problem outside our workshop premises (I wasn't there very often, he was). I remember telling my mother about it and she said "and that's another reason the Land Rover Defender is the most versatile vehicle one can buy ... good towing capability." :rotfl: She's 77 this year and I don't doubt for a moment that she'd happily move the offending vehicle off her land.

Hope there's no more parking issues. We've had builders here for months and park our cars away from our house (not blocking in anyone else) so that our builders don't park outside our neighbours (even the parts that don't block the drive in case hey need to also park there). It's not hard to be considerate is it.
Hope you have a lovely day today.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
:rotfl::rotfl: good on her Alex!
Morning cath, no more problems so far yet luckily but it's Sunday so probably there is nobody working there at the moment.
I've had a pair of pjs and some earring from Dd for Mother's Day which was nice. I've been making lots of chocolate dipped strawberries to go with the sandwiches later, only sampled two whilst doing them :T
In actual moneysaving news I've listed some unwanted perfume on flea bay, I had an email saying if I sell something in the next week or so I get £10, and have also updated my valued options profile to try and start doing surveys again.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
That is so arrogant to block your drive. I would be round to repay the compliment.0

Unbelievable neighbours! And it sounds like they think it's funny.... I'd be onto the council about them!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Council just have a Message service for if your drive is blocked and they May send a camera car past but won't tell you if they have, Pretty useless really.
Very busy at work this week and I've even brought homework home too - boo! Although I did manage to squeeze a movie in tonight with ds2 "life" which we both enjoyed, you can't beat an alien film
Weight loss for the first week has been 1.5lb, I was hoping for 2lb a week but I'm counting 1.5 as a success, I celebrated tonight with a large G&T and bates motel ( have been very good the rest of the day mind) Work food prepped for tomorrow , small bowl of bran flakes , egg salad and fruit.
eBay perfume bids now at £4.20 :T it's so exciting I don't know why I don't do it more often, it's like gambling or playing the lottery and winning, neither of which I usually do :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Love watching things go up in price on ebay - it's addictive!
Surely while the council may only have a message service, when it's happened three times, you know who the culprit is and they are clearly taking the pee, the council has some responsibility to enforce matters to wipe the smug smile from your neighbour's face?! Sorry, I'd be utterly livid if it was me! (And it has been in the past - we're at the bottom of a cul-de-sac with council owned flats - being able to get off our drive is apparently a privilege not a right).
Great weight loss results!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

So far so good with the parkng, I am more inclined to block them in for a while if t happens again, or send my incredibly stressed out at the moment husband round to have a word :rotfl:
Off to a friends to dinner tonight for pizza and wine (shop bought not deadly calorific takeout!) I've just had a plain salad all day and could currently eat my own arm I'm so hungry
Stopped at mr t for wine to take tonight and spotted fantastic beasts on DVD for £10 with a lovely hardback book for free , so I bought it and nabbed the last book, its for a friend's birthday whom I took to see the film at the cinema, hopefully she will like it.
Now have overspent a bitMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
