Thanks guys. The ironing beast is still a horrible presence in the corner of my bedroom, but I will get round to it.
I had a day of spending instead of earning, the cleaning was cancelled, we ended up going shopping where I bought a new bra and a pair of clarks boots in the sale (£75/£22.49), not great as I have joined the clothes challenge this year which I have pledged to spent £100. I have already spent £38.50 can't see me reaching that target this year to be honest.
Positive things I have done are, a couple of VO surveys and cooked a gammon joint in the sc which should do DH a couple of meals. Thats it for today , not a productive day really.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Days never go to plan do they? Boots always call your name when you are not expecting it!!! Got to laugh, as I have just ordered a pair today myself online from Next. I haven't had a new pair for such a long time and they are my birthday present from DH, so I can justify them...they should be here tomorrow...so I will be strutting my stuff in them next week :j
Your ironing beast can wait until tomorrowTell it that it has to be patient, mine has to wait until Sunday mornings only - and then I do it all on mass!
How is your car insurance claim coming along btw...did you put in a claim against the other driver, did he admit fault?"A smile takes but a moment...
...but the memory of it lasts forever"0 -
Hi mummalove, the car is being collected by the garage tomorrow to get fixed, however I don't know of the other driver has admitted fault, they did give genuine details though. I am getting a courtesy car as well, but forgot to ask what car it will be. If its a 4 seater will have to get DH to run along behind :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Well, the buffer fund has gone this month, I just drew out £100 cash for going out tonight, I'll probably take £70 or £80 out but I'm hoping not to spend anywhere like that.
Had a bit of a clothing crisis as well so rushed out and bought a short black skirt from matalan, but I don't like that much really so will wear an old black dress that I bought when I was lighter it still fits , just does'nt look as niceI'll take the skirt back and get a refund.
I've also used up my tesco vouchers that i got from VO, got some nice pizzas and cakes and biscuits for DH, DS1&2 as they are home alone tonight as DD is at a sleepover.
Still have not had the correct paperwork through for the extra mortgage borrowing, will have to chase that up today.
I got the courtesy car from the garage yesterday where ours is being repaired, and its tiny, a citroen c1, which only seats 4 so I will be getting DH to run along behind after all!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I had a good night out, quite mse as me and my friend drank wine so bought our own rather than go in with the girls on the cocktails, which were £7.50 a go, dinner £7 each and a black cab £5, so in total I think I spent £29 which is way under what I was expecting:beer:, and had a great girly night out.
Dh is helping his friend do his gutters today, so me and the boys are taking it easy at home. I will try and get some surveys done later, and try and think of something to create for dinner from the store cupboard which is getting quite sparse, I might make some bread as well.
DD is bring friends back later after they have been shopping, might have to pop some corn , theres not a lot in at the moment. We are the nearest to the school , so we seem to be the most popular choice when arranging get togethers for some reason, its not like we have the biggest house either!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Right its third time lucky with this post as I've just lost it twice!
In summary
Went to harvester for lunch, v. nice dh paid
Looked into doing a jack the ripper walk, might book for next month, only £8 each and fab reviews
Hoseasons have sent an email staing the balance as of our summer holiday is £80 dearer than it should be and they have changed our top of the range caravan for the same one but now its a pet friendly oneI checked our online acct with them and the price is higher on there too, I will be on the phone at 9am sharp tomorrow!
Started 2 surveys on vo £2 and £1.50 , accepted for both, but cut off on both.

Decided now dh is not working every weekend we need to get out a bit more and do new things, only cheap or free things though
Hope you all had a good weekend xMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Yay! the holiday is sorted, the park had swapped our caravan and then charged us the new higher price. Hoseasons have changed the price back to what is should be and changed the caravan back to the pet free one that we asked for. Only thing is he confirmed the balance still due as still £420, but when I checked online it is now £405? not sure whether to ring back or be grateful!
I'm going to take back the clothes I bought last week today, and then do a mini food shop, the boys have a friend round for tea and I have the girls round for lunch tomorrow and there is nothing in at all. Really need to tidy up and have a clean before they come as well, the house is shocking at the moment, I blame too much time spent on hereMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
