I have manged to delete this post twice now!

    Right the shorter version is

I have worked out the amount I owe the OP pot: £200 , so will need to find £40 per month until April, (when all OP money has gone) I will have to get this from surveys, ebay, food savings etc. I can draw out this months cash allowance today of £45, still can't use the CC until the 12th.

I will make this months OP when the bank opens later, so will update the figures now:

    mortgage £154,251
    0% cc £7995
    total: £162,246

So interest per day is now:£14.49

I think I will get close to under £160k by the end of the year, but not under, may have to do the figures on 1st jan, so I can add that months OP too!

oops! forgot to add the most important bit, I am starting my new diet, have set 22lb as the target. This is the exact amount I lost 2 years ago which I have now put back on exactly! I might try and put it in my signature, in the hope it will shame me into making more effort :D

I have done this months OP, and the banks figure doesn't match mine, I think i must have worked it out wrong. I have put my figues in one of the calculators on this thread and it looks like I will have knocked off 2 months when the mortgage payment comes out on the 28th. I don't know how to work out how much interest this has saved as it does'nt show it. Feels like a lot of work for two months , but I suppose its early days still.

Try not to get disheartened, I have been like that too! Thinking 'what do you mean only 2 months saved when I have sacrificed for 6 months' I think as we both get nearer the end of the mortgage term and the balance comes down our OP's will make more difference. We need to keep each other going!

Good luck on the weight loss, I have lost a little lately without trying but think that's down to my MFW way of life!!

Have you tried thismuchiknow.co.uk ?? I'm sure the calcualtor there tells you more details re: months and interest saved.

Thanks cath, that is the calculator I used, its good as you can put in a different amount for every month but I don't think it showed interest saved.
I did have a result today, I managed to print off 2 debenhams vouchers, thanks to martin :money:. One from mine and one from Dhs email, and my mum and I managed to get a bottle of chilli oil and a set of eyeliners for free ! more stocking fillers for my lot.

I have also mde a huge pot of pepper and Aubergine curry and a huge pan of chilli tomato sauce, the breadmaker is set to come on in the early hours, for once a feel a tiny bit organised. :)

Well done on the Debenhams freebies, we don't have a printer anymore so I keep missing out on those! Did you get the Next code too?

How lovely waking up to fresh bread and dinner is already made to - very organised! I really am spending so much less on food since batch cooking. Makes it so much easier with DD too when I know I can get stew out of the freezer and she will eat it all!
