Hi aj, our gas meter is an old one with only 4 numbers and the last one moves really slowly so i'm afraid I can't help
Have you got a electric usage thingy (sorry can't remember the name :rotfl:) yet?, ours was free from eon a couple of years ago, sometimes you can get them from suppliers even if you are not with them, it might be worth a look.
I haven't got one of those, it is the gas that is most concerning. We pay a lot for it but haven't normally minded however I am trying to claw back money where I can within reason now. I have put our usage on my thread to see how it compares but maybe I just need to get used to it.MFW 2025 No. 7 £700/£1200

I've been up for hours worrying as one of the cat's is missing
No-one has seen him since yesterday morning at least, ds1 thinks he saw him then. I've been out looking in the dark round the back of our house, but its just so cold I'm worried. Its not like him as he usually spends his days stretched out on the armchair. I don't want to upset the kids but I have a bad feeling.
I'm at home all day today, looking for the cat obviously, cleaning the house and doing the ironing. Off to check the accts and do today's op.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Hi Newgirly just wanted to say I read your diary from the beginning and really enjoyed it. Your doing so well.
My cat went missing in the snow two years ago he was missing for 4 days. He turned up at our old house. He was very sorry for himself and hungry. He hasn't done it since. Hope your cat turns up. Take care.2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi Newgirly, didn't want to read and run and wanted to say that's great news about the cat - bet he doesn't go far for the rest of the day now and settles in the warm with you. AG4 February 2014 - Mortgage Free

Phew, glad the puss cat turned up safe & sound
Do you have a breadmaker or do you make it by hand?? I'm not sure I could trust myself to make my own bread ~ the smell of freshly cooked bread is just sooooooooooo nice I'd be pulling chunks off & smothering them with butter ~ not a good idea when I'm trying to lose weight!!'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
Hi Pink poppy, I have a breadmaker "borrowed" from my mum a few years ago. I think I might make it tomorrow now, as if I make it today i will eat it allMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

How's your onepoll going - I only claimed at Xmas and I'm on £7.95 already :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Good news about the cat. They always turn up in the end! After they have worried us silly of course......Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0
