Bread pudding

Hello out there in MSE land,

Does anyone know of any supermarkets/countrywide bakers that sell bread pudding? I know some of you will say make it yourself, but to be honest I would like to have a slab of it from time to time.

I'm sure you don't mean bread and butter pudding.. but good old fashioned Bread Pudding... in fact I don't remember seeing it anywhere lately although Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda all used to do it.. of course homemade is so much better and I always make my own.. sorry but the only other place I could suggest would be a local baker as they do it sometimes...

My mother used to make it - fantastic, everyone at work would look forward to her visiting me as she would bring a tray of it up.

Our local baker does it but not at all like mums was. Good luck with finding it :)

They sell it in Greggs, but try to ask for a centre piece....

If you ever go down to Tavistock, in their market hall, there is a cake stall that sells it, dad absolutely loves it.

Would that be Hussey's by any chance? I used to be a regular in there when my brother in law worked in there some years ago and at the time was some of the best bakery bought goods i have ever had.
